For a first date in Manila, “let’s meet in Intramuros” is a starting idea, not a complete meeting instruction. Choose one site, an exact public meeting point and a finish time together. A heritage visit can give you something to discuss without asking either person to make their identity the subject of the afternoon.
Choose the type of visit together
The Intramuros Administration’s site guide distinguishes Fort Santiago, Casa Manila Museum, Museo de Intramuros and Centro de Turismo Intramuros. These are different visits: Casa Manila presents historical domestic life, while Centro de Turismo offers an overview of Intramuros history. Ask whether your date prefers looking around an exhibition, walking, or simply talking nearby.
Do not build a first meeting around completing every attraction. Our suggested format is one agreed visit followed by an optional drink. Keeping the second part optional gives you both a natural point to finish without explaining more than you want to.
Check entry as well as closing time
